What a truly inspiring evening we had at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Durham, hosted by the Durham Business Group! The event brought together passionate professionals and community leaders, all eager to contribute to the future growth of our beloved North East.
We had the privilege of hearing from Kim McGuinness, North East Mayor, and Graham Soult, well-respected retail consultant and chair of the evening’s conversation. Together, they unpacked the vision behind the North East Growth Plan, offering valuable insights into how collaboration, shared goals, and regional pride can move us forward as One North East.
The energy in the room was truly uplifting—reminding us that when businesses and communities come together, great things happen.
We’re incredibly proud to announce that Heart of Ceylon Expo was officially welcomed as a new member of the Durham Business Group! This milestone means a great deal to us as we prepare to bring the essence of Sri Lanka to the North East through our upcoming Expo series.
With events set to take place in the vibrant cities of Sunderland, Newcastle, and Durham, we are excited to showcase authentic Sri Lankan culture, trade, tourism, and experiences to the people of this region.
And here’s some exciting news: the newly refurbished Radisson Blu Hotel Durham will be one of our key venues for the Durham edition of the Heart of Ceylon Expo! We couldn’t ask for a better setting to deliver an unforgettable Sri Lankan experience.
Stay tuned for more updates—the journey has just begun, and we can’t wait to share it with you.
